Brian and Leela

This is becoming a regular sight in the apartment. Brian enjoys a good cat nap. So does Leela. They get along swimmingly.

Cruise with Tanya

Last Friday, Tanya was kind enough to invite me along on a cruise around Manhattan with Classic Harbor Line. We had a lot of fun. The cruise took us from the west side of Mahattan, at Chelsea Piers, past the Statue of Liberty, under the Brooklyn Bridge and up to the United Nations. I am using mostly pictures Tanya took of the cruise because she got the best ones, as usual. Here I am with the Williamsburg Bridge in the background: Here we are inside the boat where a nice woman from Minnesota, oddly enough, took our picture: Here's Tanya under the famous Brooklyn Bridge: We had a really good time on the boat. We even got a free drink out of it. I recommend it to anyone visiting. It was relaxing, fun and a simple way to see the sights.

Livia Thinks the LoveSac is Her Giant Cat Bed

Livia Doesn't Want Me to Scrapbook

She seems to think that my cruise souvenirs make a better bed then a scrapbook.

Honeymoon: Po Boys

In New Orleans, Brian had his first po boy (it's a type of sandwich). He had fried crawfish, as seen above. I had fried catfish, my favorite: It was delicious.

Honeymoon: Cafe Du Monde

The morning before our cruise I dragged Brian to the Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans for some cafe au lait (coffee) and beignets (a french doughnut). He thoroughly enjoyed them. I highly recommend this place if you are in New Orleans. Delicious. Here is a tired but happy Brian:

Honeymoon: Mixology

Brian sure was lucky on the cruise. He entered into a "Mixology" contest to mix a drink that could be featured on the cruise. He made it, yet again, to the finals. Of course, the drink was my recipe, a twist on my favorite drink in college. Brian named it "Blue Steel" and it includes tequila, blue curacao, pineapple juice and lime. It is a delicious drink. Unfortunately, he didn't win the grand prize. He did, however, win a free drink and a book of cocktail recipes! Go Brian! The pictures above and below are of him while he was on stage mixing for the judges.
