There is a strange man in my neighborhood. The first time I saw him, I was walking to the subway. I stopped at an intersection, waiting for the light to change. A man, about 15 feet away from me leaning on a parked car, looked at me and started laughing. It wasn't a chuckle or a snicker, it was a full-on, whole-hearted laugh. It was quite off-putting. I didn't know what to think. I looked normal. I didn't make any strange faces or say anything out loud. It bothered me for a day and I kind of forgot about it.
Weeks later I saw him again and the same thing happened. He was again leaning on a car but this time it was at a different intersection. Again, he laughed at me. I didn't know what to think.
More weeks passed and Brian tells me a story about how he was walking to the subway and a guy leaning on a car by an intersection laughed at him for no reason. I couldn't believe it. I described the guy I remembered and Brian agreed that was what he looked like. We have some sort of strange serial laugher in the neighborhood.
I saw him again yesterday. This time he wasn't leaning, but walking and laughing. I still don't know what to think.
