I'm Alicia Glaser Copeland and this is my website. I originally created this site for family and friends back in Minnesota to check in on me. It has now morphed into my personal scrapbook of photos, thoughts, projects and ideas.
Here are some fast facts about me:
- Grew up in Bloomington, Minnesota
- Yes, that's the home of the Mall of America.
- Went to college at the University of Minnesota in Duluth
- I firmly believe that Lake Superior is the best lake in the world.
- Spent a year studying abroad in Birmingham, England
- I miss real fish and chips.
- Got a degree in English
- I can officially make up words and grammar as I go along.
- Moved to Brooklyn for law school
- I love Brooklyn!
- My borough can beat up your borough.
- Passed the New York Bar Exam
- The test was more of an endurance test than a difficult exam. It took two exceedingly long days.
- Married in Las Vegas to the love of my life
- It was actually a totally normal wedding. It just happened to be in a casino.
- Reading
- I have always loved to read and collect books.
- I am very proud of my collection of signed books and first editions.
- Cooking
- I tend to cook a lot of random things. I get bored with food quickly and like to try new things.
- Though I like to cook, I am terrible at photographing food because I eat it before I remember to take a picture. You will see a lot of photos with one bite missing on my blog.
- Learning
- I don't care that I am no longer officially in academia; I love to learn.
- My husband and I are teaching each other for fun. He teaches me computer programming and I am teaching him post-modern literature.
- Crafts/Projects
- I need to have lots of projects or I go crazy
- I love building things, knitting, cross-stitch, electronics, web design, graphic design, organizing, photography, scrapbooking, et cetera.
- Travel
- Anywhere I go, whether it is down the street or across the country, I take my camera so that I can snap pictures of interesting things and post about them.
